UNIDENTIFIED PHOTOS. Here are more than 120 photographs of Swedish Finns that are in need of identification. Please take a look and see if you can identify any of your family members, maybe from photos you already have in your possession. Most of these people lived in Washington State, mainly in Rochester/Independence in Thurston and Lewis counties, between about 1880 to 1950. Some lived in Michigan and New York prior to that. Many may be kin to Terjärv-born Forsbackas/Forstroms, Emets, Sunabackas, Linds, Steeles (Stills, Steels), Nygards, Fagernases, Mattsons, Gistos, Nelsons, Skyttes, etc., who lived in that area.

ARTICLES. Articles about how to interpret kinship, what happens when cousins marry, Schnyders Corneal Dystrophy, and how Swedish-Finns live longer and healthier lives.

BOOKS. The latest updated version of the 2013 "Illustrated History of the Steele-Furu-Forstrom Family in Finland and America" is 225 pages long and contains approximately 440 illustrations. "Grandma Helny's Old Fashioned Swede-Finn Recipes" is also available along with the PDF/eBook "Researching and Writing Your Family History."
